Welcome to my world…Paul started tapping this morning at 6:00 a.m., with his headlamp, and headed home tonight at 6:00 p.m. That’s a day and a half, in the steepest neck of the woods, and snow coming down relentlessly. Mare and I worked together. The silence was punctuated with laughter when each time I slipped and slid down, “half way to East Randolph”, and as often, with grunts of pain from falling over downed branches hidden under the snow, and slippery ledges. Steep is an understatement. I wish you could see it. Pretty cold, only a few taps ran a little. “Next week,” Paul says. So glad to be in the warm house tonight, with all the animals under cover in the barn.
