A sap spout from Vermont makes a wonderful remembrance of days gone by. As a child, my mother would wash hundreds of these spouts, and dry them in the oven of our kitchen wood stove. Off to the sugarwoods we'd go in the early spring, drilling a new hole each year in the maple trees, and tapping in one of these spouts, then watching for a moment to see the fresh sap drip off and fall with a musical dripping into the empty sap buckets.
Some variation, some rust, all authentic. Keep this as a conversation piece or make a unique coat rack. Sap spouts are approximately three inches long.
