The peanut butter dominates the maple flavor in this quick and simple recipe, but, imagine using a pure, natural sweetener in place of refined sugar. The process of making maple sugar still amazes me. Boil sap, from wild, native maple trees until it is maple syrup, then boil the syrup to 268° and stir it.
