These simple bars are so much healthier than many from the store. Very easy to make!
Ingredients
1cupdates
1 1/2cuprolled oats
1/4cupmaple syrup
1/4 cuppeanut butter
1cupchopped walnuts or almonds
Instructions
Steam dates in a little water, to make removing pits easy. Toast rolled oats in 275 degree oven for 20 minutes. Heat maple syrup with peanut butter. Stir all ingredients together with chopped nuts – I like walnuts or almonds. Press onto a waxed paper lined pan. Cover. Chill, and cut into bars. I had some sesame and sunflower seeds on hand, so I added those. These keep well in an airtight container, or in the freezer. I times the recipe by 8 for our hungry family!
