Maple Oatmeal Bread

Ingredients

Stir Together

  • 3/4 cup warm water
  • 4 TBSP butter
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup
  • 1 tsp salt

Add:

  • 2 3/4 cups flour
  • 2 1/2 tsp yeast

Instructions

  • Knead, roll over in an oiled bowl to grease surface, cover with a dish towel, and let rise in a warm place til double, or about 45 minutes. Punch down, let rest 10 minutes, and form into a loaf. Place in a greased bread pan, and let rise again. Bake in a preheated oven at 400° for 40 minutes. Rolls may be formed instead, any of the classic shapes, let rise and bake 15 minutes.
