Maple Cottage Pudding
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c. maple syrup
- 3/4 c. milk
- 2 T shortening
- 3 T sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 egg
Instructions
- Heat syrup to boiling in a buttered 9 inch round cake pan. Make batter with the remaining ingredients. Pour over syrup. Bake 30 minutes in a 400 degree oven. Remove from oven; place a plate on top, and carefully turn upside down. Garnish with whipped cream, or serve with vanilla ice-cream.
